THE LORE

Rocket wasn't always a meme.

She was real.

Lake Mary legend.

Office royalty.

Courtyard queen.

Immortalized in the mural.

Never forgotten.

NOT AN EMPLOYEE.
A LEGEND.

THE MISSION

Rocket is here to clean up the trash and send memecoins to the moon.

CASE FILE Nº 001 · LAKE MARY, FL

SHE WAS REAL.

Not a mascot invented for a token — a raccoon that Robinhood employees fed, named, endorsed on LinkedIn, and painted into their office walls. Five files. Every artifact is real, every quote is verbatim, every source is one click away.

The Visitor

Robinhood's Lake Mary campus, years before anyone said the words "meme coin." A stray raccoon starts showing up outside the office — hungry, unbothered, completely unafraid of the finance people.

Nobody calls animal control. They feed her instead. They name her Rocket. She keeps coming back.

Office Royalty

Rocket stops being a stray and becomes a fixture — a co-worker who happens to be a raccoon. She's fed, referenced, joked about, loved.

When Marco Calderon, one of Robinhood's earliest employees, wrote his farewell post after six and a half years, he left the team one instruction — and credited a colleague with breaking Rocket out of her "prison" so she could roam free.

Give Rocket some leftover pizza for me.

The LinkedIn Legend

In 2019, someone inside Robinhood gave Rocket the most corporate honor there is: her own LinkedIn — reportedly created with an official Robinhood work email.

Title: Scavenger at Robinhood. Location: "The Skreets of Lake Mary." 79 connections. Endorsed by real employees across risk, fraud ops, and engineering.

The profile was later mass-reported and taken down. The screenshots survived.

Immortalized

Years later, a LinkedIn thread asked whether anyone still had photos of the infamous raccoon. A former employee answered with something better.

Rocket had been painted into the office itself — the "Welcome to Sherwood Forest" mural, sitting in the sand beside the treasure chest. The same mural still appears in Robinhood's official office photos on The Muse.

Not a live photo, but she was immortalized in our office mural.

The Escape

In July 2026 the story resurfaced on crypto X, and the trenches realized the strongest narrative on the Robinhood Chain had been sitting in a Lake Mary dumpster for seven years.

The lore came first. The coin came later. Rocket left the office — and entered the chain.

$Rocket is the mascot of the chain, and I will die on this hill.

ROCKET IN THE WILD

Sightings from the skreets — community art. The real one never posed for a camera. That's the point.
